Thursday was our best fishing day. We were in carova beach. Your shop was the best shop in the northern outer banks.
Our best fishing day was Thursday. We caught 12 red drum over 24 inches, and 3 under 17. Also we caught several black drum and a few trout that were over 20 inches.
Yesterday, we caught 2 red drum that were 26 inches. It was very windy! Sadly, today we are back in Raleigh.
Today with the weather we did not hear of anyone fishing. Hopefully in a couple days it will calm down enough to get back out there. One of our customers caught this nice red drum in the Duck surf yesterday.
Epic fishing again today along the entire Outer Banks. Lots of drum, trout, bluefish, and some keeper flounder as well. Water temp is 66 degrees in Duck. Kaitlin Foster with this red drum. Great job.

From Corolla to Nags Head we have had real good reports of red drum, speckled trout, bluefish, and sea mullet. Water temp is 66 degrees. High tide is at 4:48pm. Winds are SSW at 6 knots. Holding bottom with 2-3 ounce weights. Connie caught this flounder in the Duck surf.

Today on the surf we have been getting puppy drum, sea mullet, small black drum, and spot. Water temp is 70 degrees. Next high tide is at 11:06pm. Winds are WSW at 10 knots.
Surf fishing from Corolla, Duck, to Nags Head has been pretty consistent with bluefish, sea mullet, small black drum, some red drum, and speckled trout. Down around Oregon Inlet we have been getting some really good size trout. In Carova there has been a good amount of big bull drum being caught. Next high tide is at 9:36pm. Winds are SE at 14 knots. Water temp is 71 degrees. 2-3 ounces of weight are holding bottom today.
Surf fishing in Corolla, Duck, Kitty Hawk, and Nags Head has been good so far today. We are catching sea mullet, bluefish, pompano, trout, and few puppy drum. Water temp is 71 degrees. Winds are N at 9 knots. Next high tide is at 8:18pm.
The conditions were brutal…. but with some well appreciated guidance from Rob and a few cases of Corona we were able to prevail.

Mark caught this monster yesterday in Nags Head surf fishing. Today we have heard of puppy drum, bluefish, black drum, spot, and sea mullet. Water temp is 72 degrees. Winds are WSW at 10 knots. We do have fresh mullet.

Outer Banks fishing report for Duck, Corolla, Kitty Hawk, Nags Head. Today on the surf we have had keeper red drum, speckled trout, small bluefish, and bottom fish. Around Oregon Inlet area there has been trout, and big drum caught. We have fresh mullet and bloodworms. Water temp is 72 degrees. High tide is at 6:06pm. Winds are NE at 8 knots. Brad & Cassandra from Pennsylvania have been catching and releasing healthy drum on light tackle all week using a combination of Bob’s fresh mullet and grass shrimp fished on drum rigs – rigging supplies and bait both purchased from Bob’s and of highest quality (as usual). Thanks so much for remaining a staple in our yearly trip to Duck for the fall red drum bite!
Thank you so much to John for his super friendly personality. He is above and beyond courteous and helpful. I caught a 16-inch spotted sea trout. But my best prize for the day was this 25 inch Red Drum that I caught surf casting in Duck using Fresh Finger Mullet from Bob’s Bait & Tackle.
Patrick finally caught one, so that means there must be a lot of red drum around the Outer Banks.
Fishing all along the Outer Banks has been awesome the past couple days. Duck, Corolla, Kitty Hawk, and Nags Head we are catching red drum, black drum, spot, sea mullet, and flounder. The piers like Avalon, Nags Head, Outer Banks pier have been getting lots of big spot. Around the Oregon inlet area were getting speckled trout and red drum. Water temp is 77 degrees. Winds are NNE 10 knots. High tide is at 9:42pm. We have fresh finger mullet, bloodworms, and fresh shrimp coming in daily.

Our charters around Oregon inlet caught good numbers of trout and drum. Water temp is 73 degrees. High tide is at 1:54am. Winds on the Outer Banks are currently SSW at 13 knots.
Surf fishing today on the Outer Banks today has been real good. In Duck and Corolla we are getting puppy drum, spot, sea mullet. In Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills we have heard of some speckled trout, few drum, and spot. On the beach in Nags Head they have had some sea mullet, and small trout. Fishing around Oregon Inlet folks are getting big red drum, bluefish, and speckled trout. Best baits are bloodworms, fresh shrimp, and fresh mullet which we have coming in daily. Water temp is 73 degrees. Winds ESE at 12 knots. Next high tide is at midnight. All of our half day charter trips we offer are also out fishing today and doing well.

Bobs Bait And Tackle Outer Banks Fishing Charters: Our fishing charter trips have been doing very well lately. Our sound and sportsman trips are getting a lot of speckled trout and big drum. Our Offshore charters are catching billfish, dolphin fish, and lots of blackfin tuna. Half day ocean trips we offer have been catching bluefish, and mackerel.
