Outer Banks Fishing Report 8/22/2019 Bobs Bait And Tackle

Up and down the beach earlier this morning from Corolla to Nags Head we have had reports of spot, croaker, sea mullet, bluefish, and some small puppy drum. Next high tide is at 11:54 pm in Duck. The nearshore charters have been catching mackerel, bluefish, ribbon fish, and a scattered cobia. Our sportsman charters are catching lots of nice size speckled trout, and really big red drum. Our offshore full day trips are getting mahi, scattered tuna, sailfish, white and blue marlin. The fishing piers on the Outer Banks, Avalon, Nags Head, and Outer Banks Pier have been having good results on bottom fish, bluefish, and mackerel. Conditions are calm. Fishing on the beach along the Outer Banks this afternoon has been really good. Catching mackerel, flounder, and lots of spot, croaker, and sea mullet. Water temp in Duck today is 76 degrees. Outer Banks Fishing Report 8/15/2019

Outer Banks fishing report. Today we have had reports of bluefish, trout, bottom fish, and a couple keeper size red drum in Duck. Water temp in Duck is 74 degrees. Conditions are calm. Bait of choice today fresh shrimp, bloodworms, and sandfleas. Artificial lures working best today is a 3/4 to 1 oz. gold spoon, and a white zman or swimming mullet gulp with 1/4 ounce lead head.  Our sportsman trips, half and full day charters have been doing extremely well this week as well.

Fishing report for the Outer Banks today has been pretty good on the surf. We are getting plenty of bottom fish, some bluefish and mackerel. Fishing along the Outer Banks today has been good so far. We have been catching spot, croakers, sea mullet, bluefish, flounder, and mackerel all up and down the beach. Water temp in Duck NC is 76 degrees. Next high tide is at 11:57 pm. Conditions are calm. Our fishing charters are also doing good. Nearshore we are getting bluefish, mackerel, some king mackerel. Our sportsman trips are getting limits of speckled trout, sheepshead, red drum, and some flounder as well. Today our offshore boats caught plenty of dolphin fish, wahoo, and some billfish.

Fishing along the beach today has been excellent from Corolla, Kitty Hawk, to Nags Head south we have had reports of spanish mackerel and bluefish being caught on gold spoons and jig fish from the beach. We are also getting plenty of spot, croaker, and sea mullet on bloodworms and fresh shrimp. Gulp baits and bucktails are working good for flounder. The warm water has also brought in pompano. Water temp in Duck today is 76 degrees. Winds are SSE at 10 knots. Conditions are calm. Next high tide is at 4;54 pm. Should be good fishing this evening.
